Roku Onshitsu

One of my favorite things about world gins is that wherever they are made, the distillers tend to add local ingredients and flavors in the production process. Which means that no two are ever the same and it's like we get to taste the countries of origin.

Roku Gin is no exception to that wonder. Made from six different botanicals sourced in Japan, it really is a blend of what the country has to offer in flavors. Representing the four seasons, all six botanicals and the extra eight create a harmonious blend that is uniquely Roku Gin.

My Roku Onshitsu, meaning six greenhouse, is a recipe that blends together six ingredients into a beautiful green cocktail. Packed with fresh flavors and notes of herbs and spices, this is a lovely way to enjoy this gin.

Roku Onshitsu

  • 50ml Roku Gin

  • 30ml Honey Syrup

  • 20ml Lime Juice

  • 6 Basil Leaves

  • 3 Slices of Cucumber

  • 2 Slices of Ginger

Add all ingredients, except the Roku, in a cocktail shaker and muddle. Add the Roku Gin and ice. Shake. Then double strain into a glass over ice. Garnish with basil and slices of cucumber. Enjoy!
