CynoVac

Since vaccines are a hot topic nowadays and everyone must get their doses ASAP, I thought I'd get some skin in the game with a vaccine inspired cocktail. Here in Indonesia, the first doses of vaccines that came into the country early this year was the SinoVac from China. I even have it running in my body, hopefully providing enough protection for the long run.

Playing with the name, I decided to make a drink surrounding my current favorite amaro, Cynar. An Italian bitter aperitif, this stands apart from the rest because it is made from artichokes. Dark brown with a delicious bittersweet flavor, it blended perfectly with sweet vermouth and a single malt. Serves well over ice, it is an easy sipper to have with you throughout the night. CynoVac

• 30ml Cynar

• 30ml Single Malt Scotch Whisky

• 30ml Sweet Vermouth

Combine the ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Stir and strain into a glass over ice. Express an orange peel over the cocktail and garnish. Enjoy!
