Hey there!
I am Tariq Widarso, an educator and content creator in the food and beverage industry in Jakarta, Indonesia. I am a professional photographer, independent writer and cocktail recipe developer for various alcohol, bar and restaurant brands.
I created Sip Sensei in 2017 to share my interest in cocktails and to encourage others to truly appreciate the creativity and skill that goes into building a cocktail. I am a self-taught mixologist – learning how to create cocktails from books and online tutorials in my home kitchen. I have also been fortunate to build relationships with professional mixologists and bartenders who have generously shared their skills and secrets with me.
My own experience navigating this exciting world, made me realize that there is a lack of educational resources and exciting content for emerging drinkers and home bartenders in Indonesia. So what started as a passion project on Instagram has expanded into Sip Sensei providing education through workshops, events, and social media content.
